Gandhi Hindustani Sahitya Sabha
India's goal was to achieve complete independence. Gandhi's primary goal was to rebuild the nation from an Indian perspective, to foster mutual understanding among people of different faiths, heartfelt unity among various communities, and a comprehensive integration of castes and cultures. Gandhi drafted a "Constructive Programme" for this purpose.
Gandhiji drafted a "constructive program" for this purpose, which included a national language policy along with social, political, and economic issues. This policy emphasized the need to empower provincial languages and promote and propagate Hindi-Hindustani as a national link language.
In 1942, he founded the Hindustani Prachar Sabha, Wardha, to fulfill the above objective. He chose Kakasaheb Kalelkar for this task. To broaden this objective, Kakasaheb founded the Gandhi Hindustani Sahitya Sabha, Rajghat, New Delhi, on September 1, 1955.
He gave the organization the goal of preserving, promoting, and disseminating the integrated voices of linguistic, literary, religious, and cultural aspects contained in Indian languages, in order to achieve national emotional unity as per Gandhi's inspired language policy. To achieve these objectives, the Sabha has conducted a variety of programs over the past seventy years.
